Weekend Getaway with Friends!

Every once in a while you just need to get away and have some adult time when you have kiddos! So we decided to do just that with some good friends, Ramon and Rainnie Neufeld. We went to Dallas for the weekend last month and it was just what we needed! It also happened to be the Neufelds 5 year anniversary so we got to celebrate with them! Here are some pics from our weekend:

We started with a Ranger game! It was really HOT but lots of fun! We even stayed for the fireworks show at the end!

We will have our 5 yr anniversary in November!!

I think that I have married the BEST daddy there could ever be for my kids!! I don't always say it enough but I couldn't have done better!! Thank you for loving us and taking such good care of us all the time!!

Okay I'm a HORRIBLE blogger!!

It's been since OCTOBER since I have last blogged!! Give me a break I have been busy!! Lots has changed and the kids both have changed A LOT!!

So I will start here...

Gunner turned 3 in February! He just HAD to have his b-day party at Chuck E Cheese and he loved it but it was pretty chaotic!! Here are a few pics:

Charli has absolutely stolen ALL of our hearts especially her BIG brother!! He loves her so much! Sometimes a little too much! She will be 1 in less than a month and I'm really struggling with this! Her 1st year has flown by and my baby is crawling everywhere and pulling up on everything! It won't be long and she will be taking those first steps!

Charli has been practicing rolling from her tummy to her back! She almost has it down but I'm really in no rush! With Gunner I couldn't wait for him to reach each and every milestone because I thought that it meant he was right on track! With the second baby I want her to go at her own pace and as SLOW as possible! I don't want my baby growing up faster than she has to!!

Really mom? Again???

I think I will just lay in the sun enjoy this beautiful fall day! That is ALRIGHT with me!!

Punkin Patch!!!

With are busy lives and going non-stop 24/7 we are starting to implement Friday as Family Fun Night!! This is just for our family of four and we do something fun as a family! Our first night was a success!! We started off at the pumpkin patch! Gunner loved it but Charli didn't really know what was going on! I mainly wanted to take pictures! We took Gunner to this same pumpkin patch when he was 8 months old so I wanted to continue the tradition!

We had so much fun making this a family tradition! We let Gunner use his "allowance" money to make his first purchase: a pumpkin of course! He searched and searched for the perfect one and once he selected the perfect pumpkin, he pulled his money out of his pocket and paid for it! Then he got his sucker and told the lady he wanted his money back!

Needless to say he is taking good care of his pumpkins! Here is the only picture of them BOTH looking at the camera...kinda!

Charli Brooke you are 3 months old today! The past 3 months have been so sweet and we have loved every minute of it!

Here is what you are up to:

You are wearing size 3-6 month clothing.

You wear a size 1 diaper!

You are sleeping 10 hours at night now! This is a bittersweet moment for mommy! I love my sleep but I sure do miss my cuddle bug at that 2 am feeding! You can feel free to wake up on occasion if you are wanting to be rocked, just don't make it a habit:-)

You have start laughing out loud and you smile at everyone who talks to you! You have turned into such a happy little girl!

You love your bouncy seat and your binky! You also LOVE to be held most of the time! We don't mind though because we love to look at your big blue eyes and big smile!

I have been asked many times if your eyelashes are fake because they are soooo long! Really people??!! Fake lashes on a 3 month old!

This past weekend you and I made a trip to Fort Worth to attend Josh and Jessica's wedding! You were the perfect angel in the car and didn't make a peep the entire way! This is quite an improvement considering the first 2 months of your life you screamed to the top of your lungs everytime you were in the car!

Take Me Out to the Ballgame.....

This weekend we made a VERY quick trip to Arlington to take Gunner to his first Major League Baseball game!! He loved every minute of it despite the 110 degree weather! I'm not joking it was so hot that our shirts were wet by the time the game started!

Before we left home we searched and searched for Gunner's baseball glove and realized that it probably got stolen from our front yard. Oops! As soon as we got to the Ranger staduim, Gunner started asking for his ball and glove! I really think that he thought we were going there to PLAY baseball instead of WATCH a baseball game. We got him all fixed up with a Hamilton jersey, Ranger hat, and of course a new glove and ball! I think he was the cutest Ranger fan there but then again I'm a little biased!

Gunner loved the area where the little kids could use their tokens to hit the ball! We stayed there for quite a while before the game started! I think that is going to be a heck of a baseball player! That just thrills his daddy and Pawpaw to death!

This was our view from our seats! Eric was not too happy about the seats I got but that is what he gets for marrying someone who is cheap! I think that little dot down there is Hamilton?!?! Hey its all about the experience right?

Gunner watched the game intensely and held his glove up in the air most of the game. Yes we told him that he might could catch a ball eventhough there was no way they were coming up that high!

We had a blast and loved being able to give Gunner some one on one attention! He was pooped by the time we left and was asleep before we even got to the hotel! We were ready to come home and see our baby girl though! Thanks Pawpaw and Yaya for watching Charli for us!

This past weekend we went to Lake Granbury for the first time this Summer and it was also Charli's first lake trip! She did so good and was the perfect lake baby!!

Tanner and his girlfriend Anna were there too! Oh the carefree days of not having kids!

This year was actually a lot LESS stressful than last year because Gunner was old enough to not walk off the dock! He loved the water and the boat! He loves drivin!

Stir-crazy that is! With all the rain and be cooped up with a newborn and toddler in the house for 3 weeks, I decided it was time for a playdate!! So after searching for a park in Lubbock that WASN'T under water, me, 2 of my best friends, and 6 kids all got together for an afternoon of much needed play..(and adult conversation)!!

We ate, and played..

Introducing Charli Brooke...

She is finally here!! After a very long month of hospital stays and bedrest, our precious little princess has arrived!

Charli Brooke Raley was born on June 20th at 1:51 p.m. at Covenant Women's and Children Hospital in Lubbock, TX. She is absolutely beautiful and we can't figure out just who she looks like! What do you think?

Charli weighed 7 pounds and 3 ounces! She was much smaller than we anticipated and MUCH smaller than her big brother was!! She has dark brown hair and blue eyes that are just beautiful (when she opens them)!! We are enjoying loving on her and adjusting to our little family of FOUR!! We are so blessed and thank God daily for a healthy baby girl!

What a Weekend!!!

We had a VERY busy but fun Memorial Day weekend! Eric left early Friday morning for Hubbard to watch his little sister graduate from Hubbard High School. She was the salutatorian and we are so proud of her!! She is coming to Texas Tech next year so we are so excited to have her in Lubbock with us!!

I didn't get to travel since I'm only a few weeks away from having our baby girl, so Gunner and I had a mommy and me weekend! It was lots of fun but we BOTH were exhausted by the time daddy got home!

We started our weekend by going to see Shrek Forever After! It was Gunner's first time to go to the movies and it was so fun to experience it through his eyes! When we got to the movies he was running around checking out everything! and that was just in the lobby! We went with one of my best friends and her 3 kids. Gunner ate the following: an entire box of sour patch kids, half of my Milk Duds, a junior popcorn, half of Shanna's Reece's Pieces, and a Sprite! That took him about an hour to eat and then he was done with the movies! We had to leave after that because he wanted to go up and down the stairs during the movie! He loved it though and it was totally worth it!

Friday night we went to my friend Shanna and Wade's house and cooked out hotdogs and the kids played in the sprinkler! They roasted marshmallows, which Gunner didn't like! That was a surprise! Shanna and I have known each other since we were born so it's so special that our kids get to grow up together and be friends too!!

This is Shanna's youngest, Hayden. He is 3 and Gunner loves to follow him around like a little puppy!

Saturday morning Gunner and I had another playdate with my friend Julie's little boy, Garrett! They had a blast playing on Garrett's new swing set and pool! They play good together! Garrett is only 6 weeks older than Gunner so they will grow up going to school together and being great friends!

After nap on Saturday Gunner and I went to Levelland for another cookout! This time it was with my cousin Jason and his wife Denise. We don't get to hang out with them very often so it was fun to just relax and catch up! Braxton has an awesome backyard to play in! His Poppy and Gigi bought him a playscape for his 3rd b-day! Once again hint hint Pawpaw!!

Sunday afternoon Eric's brother's family came over to play in the backyard and cookout AGAIN!! Gunner loves to play with his cousins Alec and Rylan Belle! Gunner thinks Alec is pretty COOL!!

Monday Pawpaw and YaYa got home from the lake and were ready to see Gunner so yep you guessed it... another cookout!! We definitely started summer off with a bang this year but it was lots of fun!

I'm going to bed now! We get to have our last 4D sonogram of our sweet baby in the morning so I have to get my rest! Less than 3 weeks and I will get to hold my precious baby girl! Can't wait!

Hodgepodge Friday!!

This is going to be a blog of hodgepodge events and pictures!

This is Gunner and his Cousin RyRy (Rylan)! They LOVE each other like brothers and sisters! One minute they are hugging and the next they are fighting! They are going to grow up to be so close!

We went bowling this week at Main Event with Aunt Nat and some of her roommates! Gunner loved it! We had to carry (DRAG) him out crying because he didn't want to leave:)

This is Gunner and his daddy being silly! They are so much alike that it is scary!

That's all for now! I'm working on a post from Gunner's 2 year b-day! Since we were homeless at the time I am a little behind! Have a good weekend everyone!!

WOW!! It's been a loooong time!!

I didn't realize that it had been so long since I have blogged! Time flies when you are having fun! So much has changed since my last post that I don't know where to begin!! So I'll start with our most exciting part....Our baby girl will be here in about a month!! We are so excited to meet her and I am so READY to not be pregnant! Yes we do have a name picked out (as of now but still can change) BUT we are not sharing with the world YET!! Here are a few pics of our baby girl!

She is going to be a big girl just like her brother! My original due date was June 26th but she is already bigger than Gunner was at this point! Dr. Kileen wants to induce her early so that we don't run into any trouble getting her out! Gunner was a little difficult!! Please pray that we will have a safe and easy delivery!!

We also have moved! Back to Lubbock and back to our family! We were very excited and sad at the same time to be offered the opportunity to move back to Lubbock. We enjoyed Snyder for the year that we lived there and met some great lifelong friends. We were however anxious to get back "home" and be closer to both sides of our family! We are all moved in and unpacked (except for the nursery! WAY BEHIND on that)!! We love our "new" house. We bought an older home that had been remodeled somewhat and it feels very homey to us! We also have lots of growing room for more babies! I'll post more pics of the house soon! I have to find my camera charger first!

Gunner is growing up so fast! He is very excited to become a BIG brother! He talks about the baby all the time. Actually is talks ALL THE TIME about anything! It makes me proud and sad at the same time. My baby is no longer a "baby" and it breaks my heart! Some of his favorite things right now are Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, riding his tractor, and going to Chick-fil-A! He wants to eat Chick-fil-A EVERY meal!! He says it so cute that it's hard to always resist! Here are some pics from his Easter pics:

Gunner is ALL boy to say the least and is ALWAYS dirty! I guess that is just part of having a boy! I wouldn't have it any other way! He wants to be outside riding his tractor at every possible moment. Oh and he has figured out Gear 2 and now 1st gear is no longer an option! Watch out because he will just run you over if you are in his way!!

Well I'll stop for now so that this doesn't turn into the longest blog in history!

I'll try to keep this thing updated more BUT I'm not making any promises:)

I was very blessed recently in my Arbonne business with 3 awesome new District Managers! As a result of their hard work (and mine!) I was able to attend a weekend getaway at Cecilia Stoll's house in Edmond, Okalahoma! If you don't know who Cecilia is she is my Arbonne HERO!!! I want to be like her when I grow up! This weekend was just what I needed to refocus myself to my business and get ready to GO TO THE TOP!!!

"NOT ME MONDAY"

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.

This is my first "Not Me" Monday so here it goes!!

Last Monday I most certainly DID NOT show up to the airport ready to go to Cancun with the WRONG type of passport! I also DID NOT work a FULL YEAR for the trip for it to all go to waste:( I am way too intelligent for that!

Eric and I certainly DID NOT spend the ENTIRE week moping around the house in our pj's feeling sorry for ourselves! We would NEVER do that!

I DID NOT plan a day trip to the ZOO with my husband and child and pack a full picnic only to end up eating at Chili's instead. I would never go through the trouble of making turkey sandwiches to just leave them to spoil in the truck while I devoured nachos at Chili's!! NOT ME!!

I also DID NOT allow my 19 month old son to eat fast food for all 3 meals on Sunday. NOT ME!! I always enjoy cooking nutrious meals for MY family!

I also WOULD NEVER allow my son to take a 4 hour nap on Sunday just because I wanted to also take a 4 hour nap! NEVER!!

AAHHH! I feel so much better getting that off my chest!!

#1- My husband coming home today!! He has been gone for 3 days!

#2- My new house cleaner that comes on Thursdays! She is a GOD-send!!!

#3- Lake time with the Family!!

#4- Good Neighbors! Thank you Bynums for checking on our pups when we are gone!!

#5- Arbonne!! I know I say it all the time BUT I love it!! I am so blessed! I just made Area Manager and now I am going for the Mercedes by Christmas!!

#6- Thursday morning Breakfast Club at McDonalds! Thanks for including me girls!! I need to get out of the house!!

#7- Cleaning up Gunner time after time!! I love my precious baby!!

#8- Unwind Bath Salts and Massage Oil to soak in after a long day!!

#9- Clean Sheets warm from the dryer- This is one of my very favorite things in life!!

#10- Red burritos with extra cheese and extra red sauce from Taco Villa!! My husband brought me one on his way through Lubbock today!

#11- NOT COOKING!! See #10 for explanation!!

#12- Candles to make my house smell clean even when it's not!! This is my favorite candle of ALL TIME!! It is an Arbonne candle that only comes out with the Holiday line in September! I have to stock up to last me all year!!

#13- Sweet Surprises!! Thanks Sarah, Julie, and Jaci for the B-Day Presents! You are all so sweet!!!

New Friends!!

Eric and I have been so blessed with all the many friends that we have made here in Snyder! God knows that Eric and I are social people and he has sent wonderful couples into our lives to fill the void of our friends back in Lubbock! Some of our new friends are Glen and Megan Lewis. They are a really sweet couple and had us over to dinner not too long ago. They live out in the country and have lots of land to ride 4-wheelers. Eric took Gunner for his first ride on a 4-wheeler! Who do you think looks more afraid, Eric or Gunner?!?!!

Last weekend I was invited to Women of Faith Conference in Dallas with my new friend and District Manager in Arbonne, Julie Bynum. It was an awesome weekend with some great women and of course my mom! We had a great time of shopping and getting lifted up by some awesome women of God! I came back feeling renewed! Julie is such an wonderful person and I am so blessed to have her in my life and business! She is one of those women that everyone looks up to and I have already learned so much from her on how to be a better wife and mommy!

My Arbonne business is through the the roof in Snyder and I have been so blessed with the amazing women that God has brought into my life and business! We went to Arbonne's Annual Test Drive a Mercedes Day and picked out the Mercedes that we want! I want the new E-class series! It is beautiful! Two of my new team members, who I may add are in qualification for their first promotion, Julie Bynum and Sarah Erwin went with me and we had a BLAST!! Here are the "Beach Bound Babes" from Snyder.

Well I finally whined long enough that Eric broke down and bought a boat! It's not a new one of course (Dave Ramsey wouldn't approve if it was!) but it is as good as new! We bought it from my Uncle Randy and Aunt Shellie and they took excellent care of it!

We went to Lake Alan Henry on the 4th to test the waters and had a blast! My parents and Aunt Nat went with us! It was HOT but lots of fun! Looking forward to many more days on the lake!

Lake Trip to Granbury!!

The lake trip was a lot of fun but VERY HOTTTT!!!! We all came back with a little sun make that ALOT of sun! Gunner enjoyed the lake this time much better than Memorial Day! He actually got in the water at Sandy Beach and was loving it! He would try to put his face under water and was not scared at all! Can't say the same for his daddy and I! He loved to "drive" the boat and honk the horn! We kept a rope tied on his lifejacket so he wouldn't walk off the dock!

We got to see some of our good friends Chris and Lauren Scott from Arlington on Friday before they were off to Cabo for the week! Lauren is as beautiful as ever and Chris is as sarcastic as ever! Eric loves to hang out with Chris and they act like college kids again everytime they see each other! On Saturday, Uncle Randy and Aunt Shellie came down for the day! It was fun to see everyone! We love the lake and wish that we could go more often!

Gunner is such a messy little boy! I've been told that it's a "boy thing"! I don't know how many times a day he changes clothes because everything he does involves dirt, food, water, etc... That makes for a lot of laundry but he is worth every load! We are heading out for the lake this afternoon so I will post pics when we get back!

Well there is nothing like family pics to make you want to go on a diet! We met Amanda McNeely in Lubbock on Monday night and crossed our fingers that Gunner would be cooperative and he was for the most part! We took pictures for about 2 1/2 hours in the June heat and Eric was a little fussy when it was all said and done! Notice that I said ERIC!! They turned out good and she is CHEAP!! Eric's 2nd Father's Day

Today we celebrated Eric's 2nd year of being daddy to our 15 month old son. Everyday he seems to amaze me even more of what an awesome dad and husband he is! This is also the 1st Father's Day that I didn't spend with my own dad! Happy Father's Day Papa Jim and we love you! We are taking it easy today and went to Gunner's favorite place: the park! He is all boy and loves to be outside running and getting dirty!
